Soccer’s American Dream

This 100-page magazine was developed strictly over the course of nine days, attempting to document the intricate mosaic that is soccer in NYC and featuring 45+ portraits and stories from the vibrant, diverse, and electric world that exists beneath the surface of the “corporatized spectacle” that can at times distort soccer in America.

My role as an art director and designer for VICE x CLUBELEVEN’s Soccer’s American Dream zine, was developing and maintaining the overall visual identity through typography, layout systems, color direction, and page design. Managing full publication design from cover to final production, integrating imagery, graphics, and editorial content while ensuring visual cohesion, readability, and print-ready execution under a fast-paced 9-day timeline. I also coordinated with collaborators across editorial, photography, and production while making high-level creative and technical decisions throughout the project.
